New Barron Williams Executive Search Website

Launched last November, we have received fantastic feedback on our new website. 

New features, including our CV Upload have been well-received and now allow candidates to register core role-search criteria when uploading their CV to our executive database.

We’ve also received excellent feedback on our Case Studies.

We are also receiving high quality applications for live roles, directly via our Current Opportunities page.

Non-Executive Director Appointments

We were delighted to confirm the appointment of two further Non Executive Directors for our North East-based Risk Management Services client. 

These appointments follow on from an initial placement of three Non-Executive Directors last year as a result of our successful executive search project to identify, attract and engage a diverse pool of high-calibre candidates for our client.

The strategy we implemented was designed to attract a mix of skills and experiences, to create a pipeline for the future, and to allow appointments as the business grows and other Non-Execs step down by rotation.

To assist the client, an SME, most effectively, we came up with a low cost, success-driven pricing mechanism, which meant that they were able to make multiple appointments extremely cost-effectively.

Finance Director Appointment

The Barron Williams executive search team also recently concluded the successful recruitment of a Finance Director for a manufacturing client based in the North West.

After a very strong response to the brief, we were able to present a high-calibre long-list for interview, whilst the selected short-list of three very able candidates undertook the Thomas International Personal Profile Analysis (PPA) tests, which aided the client at final interview stage.

The successful candidate has now started this role and is working with the outgoing Finance Director prior to his retirement. He joins a Board of Directors that also includes the Operations Director recruited by us last year.

Head of Partner Sales Appointment

Having recruited the new Sales Director for one of our Medical Devices sector clients early last year, said Sales Director came back to us for their first key hire.

The role of Head of Partner Sales is fundamental to the core sales strategy, leading the drive to grow the business with partner manufacturers in their specialist sector.

As per our executive search process, the role was marketed via a number of channels to achieve a wider reach. 

However, due to the precise nature of the role requirements, our focus was very much on the sector search activity to identify contacts, and in turn suitable potential candidates for the role.

Not surprisingly, the successful candidate was a very experienced sector professional, working for a competitor. 

The search was helped by the fact that we had an established network of contacts, and some potential candidates from the previous Sales Director search. This relatively up to date market and sector knowledge allowed us to accelerate the process for our client.

The successful candidate is now settling into the new role very quickly ahead of their new financial year (and sales targets)!
